The Tool Post, situated in rural Didcott (well almost rural except it’s on an industrial estate!) is throwing open its doors at the end of the month and inviting all and sundry to come in and see demonstrations from Les Thorne, Gerry Marlow and Tony Halcrow.

The dates are Friday 27th and Saturday 28th June, with free parking, free admission and even free light refreshments, although I suspect they might draw the line on that last one if a coach load of rugby supporters try and use it as a stop-off on their way to a match.
You’ll be made very welcome there, tell them we sent you to be assured of ’special’ treatment, we’re sure you’ll enjoy an interesting day there.

Down in picturesque Hampshire, at the beginning of July (I was going to say ’summer’ but who can tell these days?) professional woodturner John Davis is having his annual show at his retail premises in Stockbridge.
Attractions include Les Thorne, Nick Agar and Mick Giles all turning over the weekend.
Other trade stands will be there too, along with demonstrations of spinning, hand weaving etc.
The show is on the 4th and 5th July, 10am - 4.30pm and admission is free.
