Ipanema by Leo Olischlager

Leo, from the Netherlands, sent us several beautiful images of his segmented work leaving us with the

difficult job of selecting just one for the gallery. The clever use of contrasting timbers caught

our eye so we picked this one. Hope you agree with our choice Leo!

Leo uses a variety of homegrown timber including Alder, Cherry and Maple as well as exotics such as

Purpleheart, Amarillo and Ebony and keeps looking out for more colours and variations.

He finishes his work with Acrylic Sanding Sealer followed by Acrylic Gloss Lacquer which he

buffs with Burnishing Cream before applying Friction Polish to achieve a glass like sheen.
